Launching of Campus Buildings



The Vice President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon. Dr. Philip Isdor Mpango has directed the leadership of the College of Business Education (CBE), to invest more in distance learning systems. This will enable many youths located in remote places to take advantage of business education offered by the College.


This was highlighted by Dr. Mpango on 31st July, 2023 after the launching of the Campus buildings of CBE, Mbeya Campus. Furthermore, Dr. Mpango charged the CBE lecturers to continue to properly guide students to discard traditional ways of doing business and embrace modern techniques. Hundreds of residents of Iganzo ward witnessed this historical event.


“College leadership should continue to lay down proper plans that youths may continue to get quality education for the benefit of the Country at large” he directed.  When responding to Dr.Tulia Ackson (guardian of the campus and the Speaker of the Parliament of the United Republic of Tanzania) on her request on improvement of infrastructures surrounding the area, Dr. Mpango said that he has received it and will report it to the responsible ministers. 


Dr. Tulia Ackson informed the Vice president that the Iganzo Campus land was given by the elders of the area and she also gave thanks to the Ministry of Industry and Trade for investing at CBE.
Prof. Winnester Anderson, the Chairperson of the Governing Body of the College informed that the building project has costed 1.4B Tshs, whereby 1.1B came from internal collections of the college and 350M from the government treasury office. “During the first round we have received 12,000 students and we are expecting to receive more up to 20,000 students” she said.
