On October 7, 2025, the College of Business Education (CBE) continued celebrating Customer Service Week for the second day. The Rector of the College, Prof. Edda Tandi, emphasized the importance of this year’s theme, “Mission Possible.” She said the theme carries a message of hope, responsibility, and teamwork in achieving the institution’s goals. Speaking during the celebration held at CBE Headquarters in Dar es Salaam, Prof. Tandi said the theme encourages staff to believe that every goal of the institution can be achieved if everyone performs their duties with creativity, honesty, and commitment.
“This theme, ‘Mission Possible,’ reminds us that nothing is impossible when we work together, follow ethical values, and stay dedicated to the success of our institution,” said Prof. Tandi.

Explaining the meaning of Customer Service Week, Prof. Tandi said it is a special time to reflect, learn, and improve how the institution serves its stakeholders — including students, staff, and the general public.
“This week gives us a great opportunity to assess the quality of our services, evaluate our performance, and make plans to improve so that our clients receive excellent, timely, and respectful services,” she added.
As part of the celebrations, Prof. Tandi mentioned that CBE is focusing on training staff in areas such as internal communication, productivity, creativity at work, employee benefits, and discipline procedures. She explained that these trainings aim to help staff understand how to communicate better, increase efficiency, and carry out their responsibilities while upholding professional ethics. Prof. Tandi also highlighted key factors that employees should observe to improve work performance, including discipline, creativity, teamwork, time management, and adherence to institutional rules.
“The success of any institution depends on the behavior of its employees. We must work responsibly, maintain discipline, and create a supportive work environment,” she emphasized.
The 2025 Customer Service Week celebrations continue across all CBE campuses in the country, featuring community activities, trainings, and discussions focused on improving service delivery within the institution.
