This year CBE is intending to conduct its fourth Academic forum which will be held on 13th November, 2019 in Dodoma at Kambarage Hall- Treasury Square from 0800-1400HRS. This year’s theme is “Industrialization and Business growth for National Economic Development in Tanzania”. Sub-Themes for this academic forum are:

ii. Water and sanitation
iii. Land management and Human settlement
iv. Competitive economy
v. Energy and Industrial Economy
vi. Manufacturing Industries
vii. Transportation and Logistics Management
viii. Agriculture and Agribusiness
ix. Entrepreneurship and Employment
x. ICT and socio-economic development
xi. E-Business and E-commerce
xii. Housing development, finance and market
xiii. Innovation and commercialization
xiv. Cluster and incubation development
xv. Climate Change and Environmental Management
xvi. Public Health and Insurance
xvii. Business Risks Management

CBE invites academicians, researchers, policy makers, business practitioners, Private and Public sectors, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), Development partners and International Organizations. Papers from a wide range of titles relating to the above theme and sub-themes will be accepted.

As well, be informed that, papers are invited as long as they fall under the above mentioned theme.
Guidelines to Authors
1. Abstract (maximum 300 words)
2. Paper length (10 pages including references)
3. Font: Font type=Times New Roman, line spacing 1.0, Margin= 1 both sides
4. Language – British English
5. Referencing: APA 6th edition referencing style
6. Full paper typed in MS-word format (Time New Roman, front size 12) with a tittle, name of author(s) and affiliations.
7. Duration of oral presentation of the selected papers will be 20 minutes including discussion.
8. The Forum Registration Fee is 50,000 TZS

You are highly encouraged to submit your papers and all presented papers in the forum will be published as proceedings. All best papers will be published in the special issue of the Business Education Journal (BEJ).

History of CBE

The COLLEGE OF BUSINESS EDUCATION (CBE) was established in 1965 by the Act of the Parliament. COLLEGE OF BUSINESS EDUCATION Act No. 31 of 1965. His Excellency, J.K. Nyerere, the first President of the United Republic of Tanzania officially opened the new College in January 1965. The College was officially named the “College of Business Education” (CBE). The said Act of Parliament gives the College its legal status as an autonomous institution with its Governing Body. The College shall be governed and administered in accordance with the provisions of this Act.


The origin of the College of Business Education (CBE) is closely linked to the history of the Nation itself.
